The Empire Riverside Hotel is a four star superior hotel in the heart of St Pauli, designed by the British star architect David Chipperfield and located between the harbour, the River Elbe and the Reeperbahn.
Since it’s construction in 2007 the hotel provides a perfect birds eye view of the city. This astonishing view can be enjoyed from the skyline bar 20up through seven metre high panorama windows.
The elegant and timeless DAVID’s bar with adjoining fireplace lounge is located on the ground floor and delights with coffee, cocktails and freshly made Sushi from Miss Tuk. When you enter the restaurant Waterkant, you will experience firsthand how the best quality fish is prepared in the open show kitchen right in front of your eyes. The chef turns freshly caught fish and the "catch of the day" into creative dishes, served with seasonal sides.

Our eight meeting and event rooms will encourage your individual ideas.
All our rooms are flooded with natural light and are mostly characterized by a unique harbour view. Our meeting rooms can be flexibly combined and used for various ideas and events. If you want to hold a trade fair or a larger event, our 1.200 square metres conference area on two floors, which can accommodate up to 1000 people, is the perfect place for you.
The 20up Skyline bar with its magnificent view is also available for events.
