Andaz is Hyatt's new collection of contemporary, 5 star boutique-inspired hotels, located in the dynamic, distinctive neighbourhoods of key world cities and inspiring resorts.
The first Andaz in Asia is located in Xintiandi—a landmark entertainment area in the heart of downtown Shanghai, internationally acclaimed for its restored Shikumen architecture housing stylish restaurants, bars, and boutiques. Andaz Xintiandi, Shanghai is a short walk to the Metro and the prestigious Huai Hai Zhong Road, one of Shanghai’s premier shopping areas.
The newly constructed 28-storey hotel features 307 spacious guest rooms measuring 41 square metres, including 47 premium rooms and suites ranging from 80–740 square metres with vibrant views over Shanghai and impressive LED lighting where guests can customise the colour to suit their mood. All rooms come with an iPod docking station and an iPad based guestroom solution, which can easily control every part of the room.
Upon arrival, guests are treated to welcome drinks and receive all day drink and snacks at the Host Desk. As in all Andaz hotels, non-alcoholic minibar drinks and snacks, local telephone calls and wireless internet access are complimentary. These are part of the Andaz Core Benefits Package provided to all guests.
Dining and entertainment options include Andaz Lounge, the heart of the hotel in the main lobby; Éclair, an all-day patisserie specialising in classic, cream-filled French pastries; and the signature restaurant Hai Pai—meaning “modern Shanghainese spirit”—a restaurant blending the traditional Shanghainese food with modern flavors that reflects the neighborhood culture and style. ”XUAN” Bar, a comfortable, barrier –free atmosphere with handcraft cocktail, modern Chinese snacks and tasty continental delicacies. 88 Sushi Bento Bar, located in the steel-brushed oval above Andaz Lounge, is a Japanese cuisine serving high-end sushi and sashimi.
Andaz Xintiandi, Shanghai offers 12 different event venues, from a Meeting Studio that can seat 14–16 guests to a Ballroom that can cater to up to 300. Especially unique is Garden Studios which will feature six event spaces, an organically shaped outdoor terrace and a spectacular Glass Pavilion, ideal for a wedding chapel or a red carpet event.
